In August 2017, I attended my first Toastmasters club meeting. Little did I know that over the next eight years, I would progress from a member to club officer, Club President, Area Director, Conference Chair, Trio member, and finally to District Director.

2017年8月，我第一次踏入国际演讲会分会例会。未曾想到在接下来的八年里，我会从会员一路成长为分会干事、分会长、小区总监、峰会主席、Trio成员，直至大区总监。

Like many others, I originally joined to improve my public speaking skills. However, upon becoming Club President, I discovered that leadership offered far more opportunities to take the stage—hosting events, making impromptu remarks, and more. Although I initially struggled with blanking out, I always received genuine encouragement like, "You did great!" This support empowered me to embrace new challenges.

最初，我和许多人一样，加入是为了提升演讲能力。然而，担任分会长后，我发觉作为领导者拥有了更多站上舞台的机会——主持活动、临场发言等。虽然最初会大脑空白，但总能收获真诚的鼓励：“你做得真好！” 正是这份支持让我敢于尝试。

The 2022 Macau Open Day serves as a vivid example. The power of teamwork astonished me: a five-star hotel sponsor provided the venue, fellow members swiftly designed promotional posters, experienced members volunteered as workshop presenters, and Macau Club Presidents offered their full support... our collective effort made it perfect! The event attracted 120 attendees, with 20 joining as new members. To this day, I'm moved by this group's passion—dedicated purely to empowering others to become better communicators and leaders, beyond any personal gain.

一个鲜明的例子是2022年澳门开放日。团队协作的力量令我震撼：五星级酒店无偿提供场地，伙伴们迅速响应设计宣传海报，讲师资深会员主动提供工作坊支持，澳门各分会长鼎力相助……大家齐心协力，最终吸引了120人参与，20人入会。这份不计得失、只为赋能他人成长的热情，令我铭记至今。

It is precisely these "learn-by-doing" opportunities within Toastmasters that enabled me to continuously break through limitations, grow in confidence, embrace greater responsibilities to support members' growth, and apply these lessons to my personal and professional life.

正是国际演讲会提供的这些“实践中学习”的机会，让我不断突破自我，变得更加自信，敢于承担更多责任，支持会员成长，并将所学应用于生活和工作中。

As District Director, I will encourage all district and club officers to honor Smedley District this year by achieving the "Four Ones":

* One Supportive Successor 
* One Effective Openday

身为大区总监，今年我将会鼓励所有大区和分会干事，透过实现「四个一」 ，一起实现斯梅德利大区的荣誉：

* 每一课「尊重」参与者的工作坊
* 每一位「服务」大家的继承者
* 每一场「卓越」的大型活动
