Dear District 89 Members,
In the recently concluded 2025–2026 term, we made history together! We were not only awarded the prestigious Smedley Distinguished District honor—the highest accolade of its kind—but also secured the remarkable achievement of ranking #1 globally in club growth rate with our extraordinary momentum! This glory belongs to every partner in District 89 who fought side by side with us!
To pay tribute to the outstanding contributions of every officer and member, and to kick off the new journey ahead, we will host a one-of-a-kind President’s Gala & Conference Experience Day in Maoming, Guangdong. This year, the event has been fully upgraded to a “mini-conference” format—you are cordially invited to join us!

· Glory Coronation: Grand awards ceremony to celebrate annual excellence.
· Feast of Ideas: Exclusive “Celebrity Workshops” led by legendary leaders and international speech champions for deep capability empowerment.
· Peak Demonstrations: Curated demonstration contests (Chinese Table Topics Speech / Chinese Evaluation / English Humorous Speech) delivering a visual feast of high-level public speaking.
· Conference + Leisure Integration: Specially designed “optional tour routes” to explore the unique charm of Maoming, the “Coastal Green City.”

Saturday, September 12
· 15:00–17:30: Joint Meeting & Open House (Demo Club Meeting & Workshops)
o Note: Workshop speaker recruitment is open; selections will be made based on merit.
o Local Maoming guests may attend free of charge.
· 18:00–20:30: President’s Gala
o March-in Ceremony, Hall of Fame, Performances
o Dress Code: Formal
· After 21:00: Oyster Feast (self-paid supper) / Sing-Along Party

· 08:00–09:00: Chinese Table Topics Speech Demo Contest
· 09:00–11:00: English Humorous Speech Demo Contest
· 11:00–12:00: Chinese Evaluation Demo Contest
o Note: All members (including District officers) may register to compete. Each contest is limited to 7 participants; selections will be made based on merit. Each person may register for only one contest.
o All contests are informal, intended solely for member exchange; no official advancement or certification will be granted.
· 12:00–12:15: Certificate Presentation & Contest Results Announcement
· 12:20: Closing Remarks
· Afternoon: Free activities / Optional tours

Presidents of clubs rated Distinguished or above during the 2025–2026 term enjoy free admission to the Gala and receive travel allowances (capped amounts below, disbursed approximately 3 months after the event):
1. Smedley Distinguished: VIP seat + travel allowance up to RMB 200
2. President’s Distinguished & Select Distinguished: Travel allowance up to RMB 100
3. Distinguished: Travel allowance up to RMB 50
o Note: Only one travel allowance slot per club
